In 2003 and 2004, the center experienced a significant increase in the number of cases it handled. Specifically, 108 cases were filed in 2003, and 89 cases in 2004. Among the various types of cases handled by the center in 2003 and 2004, a large number involved well-known domestic and international trademarks and brands, such as Caesar, Sharp, Hello Kitty, Burberry, Disney, Viaggra, Laneome, Baoma, AOL, Michelin, Porsche, Taobao, Tarzan, Omo, Samsung, Osram, The Body Shop, Fox, Dell, Toshiba, ManniFan, and AnliFang, among others. To promptly summarize and share experiences, we have selected and compiled the judgments of various types of cases handled and concluded by the center from 2003 to 2004 for publication. We hope to provide direct and comprehensive materials for relevant legislative bodies, legal research institutions, law schools, the legal profession, and business professionals in the fields of domain name disputes and online dispute resolution.
