Features: After the manuscript of the Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in the Western Han Dynasty was completed and sent for printing, we began preparing to compile its companion volume, the Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in Chinese and Spanish. With the care and strong support of the Latin America Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, after nearly three years of effort, this dictionary was finally completed. Just as we were finalizing the last draft of this dictionary, news came that China had joined the WTO. As a member of the World Trade Organization, China's foreign economic and trade exchanges will become even more frequent, and an increasing number of people will participate in foreign trade activities. Trade between our country and Spain, Latin America, and Spanish-speaking countries in Africa will further develop rapidly. In this context, a new Dictionary of Economic and Trade Terms in Chinese and Spanish is even more necessary. We accelerated our progress and added some new terms to ensure that this dictionary could be made available to users as soon as possible. This dictionary collects nearly 70,000 entries, covering fields such as economics, trade, finance, banking, taxation, customs, transportation, accounting, auditing, statistics, insurance, corporate management, labor relations, and social security. Its publication fills another gap in bilingual Chinese-Spanish dictionaries and provides a practical tool for a wide range of translators proficient in both languages, both domestically and internationally.
