This revision integrates the opinions of readers, teachers, and experts. The new "" (Classic Extracurricular Reading New Edition) adds or replaces 86 articles. The new curriculum standard's "" (Modern Extracurricular Reading) for junior high adds or replaces 88 articles, while the elementary version adds or replaces 56 articles. These new selections have a stronger sense of the times, enhanced ideological depth, artistic quality, knowledge, and testability.
II. Changing "Reading Guide" to "Reading Comments" (New Edition)
In the "Comments" and "Appreciation and Reflection," not only are authors introduced but also greater emphasis is placed on guiding students' reading of the text, complementing the "Reading Reflections." To accommodate the new content, the elementary version marks the original "Language Accumulation" content within the main text and adds a self-training section.
III. Changing "Exercises and Reflections" to "Reading Reflections"
Based on the latest junior high school exam guidelines and reader feedback, the number of training questions has been adjusted. The original version typically included 5-8 questions per article, while the new edition generally has 8-10 questions. The focus is on subjective and open-ended questions to align with the junior high exam, creating a direct connection between regular practice and exam questions.

The categories are set according to the reading needs of middle school students and the content of the selected articles. The new curriculum standard's extracurricular reading is divided into:
