How to Treat Corpus Luteum Cysts

Patient's question:

Nausea, vomiting, increased bowel movements, abdominal pain

Doctor's answer:

Treatment: Physiological cysts do not require surgery, while pathological cysts often need surgery for diagnosis and appropriate treatment. If ultrasound indicates that the cyst is anechoic and has no septations, it can be observed for 3 months. After 3 months, a repeat ultrasound should be performed. If the cyst still exists, surgical intervention should be considered. For cysts other than these, in most cases, they are pathological and should undergo surgery for diagnosis. Ovarian wedge resection or ovarian repair surgery can be performed.
