Features: Sesame is one of China's main oil crops, as well as an economic crop and a foreign exchange-earning crop. Its products have high nutritional and health value and are relatively popular in the international market. Developing high-efficiency sesame cultivation is of great significance for increasing sesame yields in various production areas of China, improving sesame quality, reducing costs, enhancing market competitiveness, promoting rural economic development, and increasing farmers' income. In China's main sesame production areas, the yield per 667 square meters has long stagnated at the level of 60-70 kilograms, with slow variety improvement and low quality levels. The main reason is the backward traditional cultivation techniques and extensive production conditions. Therefore, improving sesame production conditions, promoting high-yield and high-quality varieties and new high-efficiency cultivation technologies, and increasing yield and quality have become the primary tasks for sesame research and production development in China. Through high-efficiency and cost-effective cultivation, multiple advanced and applicable technologies are integrated and implemented to achieve the goals of high-quality, ecological, safe, and efficient large-scale sesame production. Based on summarizing the high-yield and high-quality sesame production technologies of predecessors and drawing on the production experience of provinces such as Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Hebei, and Jiangxi, especially citing the research results of many experts and scholars in recent years, and combining their own research and production practices, the authors of this book have compiled "High-Efficiency Sesame Cultivation" as a reference for technical personnel, rural cadres, and sesame farmers, hoping to make new contributions to the development of sesame production in China.
