Features: "PhD Series in Economics and Statistics" is a key book series organized and published by our press, and it is also a national key book in the 15th Five-Year Plan by the State Press and Publication Administration. Due to the limited number of doctoral dissertations selected for this series, we have compiled and published "Abstracts of PhD Dissertations in Statistics" as a supplement. The purpose is to showcase the latest advancements in the field of statistics more broadly, promote the dissemination of research findings in statistical science, and facilitate the exchange and cooperation of high-level creative talents. "Abstracts of PhD Dissertations in Statistics (2000-2001)" collects 24 content abstracts of doctoral dissertations in statistics from seven universities—Renmin University of China, Xiamen University, Northeast University of Finance and Economics, Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Central South University of Finance and Economics, and Southwest University of Finance and Economics—for the years 2000 and 2001. It reflects, from one perspective, the difficult and hot issues in China's statistical and economic fields in the past two years. The book is divided into four parts: 1. National Economic Accounting; 2. Risk Theory, Methods, and Applications; 3. Statistical Theory and Methods; 4. Statistical Application Analysis.
