The book consists of five parts and twenty-two chapters. Part I is the General Theory of Financial Risk, which conducts theoretical analysis, realistic examination, and comparative research on the basic theories of financial risk, incomplete information and financial risk, and financial crises. It elaborates on the importance and urgency of informal financial risk management. Part II focuses on commercial bank risk management. It first constructs a theoretical framework for the study of commercial bank risk management, analyzes the causes of commercial bank risks, and proposes a framework for building the risk management system of commercial banks. The research emphasizes the risk supervision of commercial banks under the Basel Agreement framework and the regional differences and resolution of commercial bank risks. Part III addresses securities market risk management. Based on a systematic review of stock market risk management, bond market risk management, and financial derivatives market risk management, it further studies and summarizes the trends and new characteristics of risk evolution in the securities market. Part IV covers insurance risk management. It takes a renewed understanding of insurance risks and the transmission mechanisms of insurance risks as the starting point, conducting systematic and in-depth research on underwriting risk management in insurance, risk management of insurance contracts, investment risk management in insurance, and reinsurance network management. Part V focuses on international financial risk management. It addresses the main risks faced by macroeconomic institutional arrangements and microeconomic entities in participating in international financial market competition, studying foreign exchange risk management, foreign debt risk management, international reserve risk management, and financial risk management in the context of economic openness.
