Did I need to do another check after laparoscopic ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

Here are a few things I previously had a laparoscopic surgery for ectopic pregnancy in July 2018. The right fallopian tube was operated on, but it was preserved. Below are my medical records:
1. After the surgery, the doctor informed me to come in for a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) after my first menstrual period. I scheduled it for August 12th. At that time, a rice-grain-sized polyp was found in the cervix and was removed during the HSG. The results after the procedure were: patent (open). The polyp report was requested to be collected in 10 days. Next, I was told to come to the hospital on the 14th day of my next menstrual period to check for menopause.
2. On August 22nd, I went to collect the polyp report. The doctor asked me to come back in 3 months for a follow-up examination to check if the polyp had grown.
3. My period arrived on September 3rd. I miscalculated the dates and scheduled an appointment for September 21st to check for menopause. The result was: no menopause. Reason: past the ovulation period.

Doctor's answer:

I'm glad to clarify this for you. If you're worried that getting pregnant might interfere with your wedding plans, why not wait for now? After the wedding, when both of you are in the best physical condition, you can try again. The first time it was an ectopic pregnancy, but the next time it doesn't necessarily have to be. You don't need to worry about this, as the chance of it happening again is very small. Usually, ectopic pregnancies are associated with pelvic inflammation. Since you've had a thorough check-up during your hospital stay and your body is healthy, it's highly unlikely that the previous situation will occur again. When you had the ectopic pregnancy surgery last time, all the necessary tests were already done, so you don't need to undergo pre-marital examinations.
