Features: It is worth noting that translation studies, while introducing various theories, tend to be swallowed up and assimilated by them. Although the field of translation studies appears to be expanding, there is a hidden risk that it may gradually lose its own position as it moves from the periphery to the center. In the face of this danger, we must remainly aware of the independent consciousness of the discipline of translation and systematically explore translation theory issues from the perspective of building translation studies. The "New Perspectives in Translation Studies" series, edited under the support of Shanghai Translation Publishing House, is a concrete embodiment of this effort. The "New Perspectives in Translation Studies" series has clear pursuits: First, the selected topics are striving to have considerable theoretical depth and originality, contributing to the theoretical construction and development of the discipline of translation; Second, the research is striving to be systematic, ensuring the quality of the research with a strong sense of problem awareness, scientific research methods, solid arguments, and comprehensive materials; Third, the research is striving to be open, requiring researchers to have a broad theoretical vision while grasping the latest developments in the forefront of international translation theory research. It is especially important to have a spirit of exploration in the research and strive for innovation. With the support of colleagues in the translation field and the efforts of the authors, we hope our pursuits can be further realized. This series systematically explores translation theory issues from the perspective of building translation studies. The selected topics have considerable theoretical depth and originality, and the research is systematic, open, and innovative.
