We are decoys, darling

Features: Elfriede Jelinek employs advertising films, science fiction in novels, the style of illustrated novels, scenes from horror films, and comical, thrilling comic strips, paired with artists like Heineken, The Beatles, James Bond, and Batman, to evoke short-term stimulation. Additionally, in each chapter of the novel, three fictional characters make their appearances—Otto, Emmanuel, and Maria. However, these characters constantly shift their roles. It is not they who create the scenario, but rather the scenario shapes these characters. Elfriede Jelinek harshly condemns all phenomena that lean toward refined culture, thus targeting those engaged in revolutions, or in other words, those chasing "trends." Her condemnation is not excessive. Therefore, in her writings, she portrays all subcultural phenomena that transform into trendy revolutions, but also subjects Mickey Mouse, women, and gentlemen of honor to bizarre and distorted portrayals. She fiercely criticizes the cultural consumption of the fifteen to twenty-five-year-old demographic, exposes the kitschy works and purchasing habits of older individuals, and presents it all as an anti-traditional film, screening it in the readers' imagination.
