How can one get pregnant

Patient's question:

I had my period on October 15th and started using an oral thermometer to measure my basal body temperature.
My temperature gradually decreased from 36.8 degrees during my period until October 31st, when the ovulation test strip turned positive, and my oral thermometer temperature dropped to 36.5 degrees. We had intercourse that night. On November 1st, my oral thermometer temperature was 37 degrees, and we had intercourse that night. On November 3rd morning, we had intercourse again, and my temperature has remained at 37 degrees to this day.
I’ve had some slight chest pain for the past two days, and I’m not sure if it’s because my period is coming or if I’m pregnant. As of today, my temperature has been 37 degrees for 16 consecutive days. I took a pregnancy test today, and it was still negative.
Could you please advise me on the situation I’ve described?

Doctor's answer:

Don't hurry first. It is recommended that both men and women abstain from sex for three to five days before ovulation, then try having intercourse during ovulation. The male-on-top position is advisable, and after each intercourse, do not rush to withdraw the penis. Placing a pillow under the woman's hips can also increase the chances of conception. Excessive frequency of sexual activity may also affect fertility.
If you have had normal sexual activity for two years without contraception and have not become pregnant, then consider the possibility of infertility. In such cases, both partners should abstain from sex for three to five days and undergo medical examinations. The man should have a semen analysis, while the woman should have tests for sex hormones (six items), basal metabolic rate, ovarian function, and immunological tests. It is recommended that you and your partner go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive and systematic examination to identify the cause of infertility and receive targeted treatment.
