Features: In the 21st century, the continuous emergence of new formulations and dosage forms, along with the significant development of traditional Chinese medicine dosage forms, has led to the widespread clinical application of high-tech products such as sustained-release, controlled-release, and targeted drug delivery systems. To ensure the safety and efficacy of drug formulations during treatment, scientific and rational use is key. To meet clinical requirements and enable pharmacists to play their role in safe, effective, economical, and rational drug use, there is an urgent need for a reference book that meets the needs of pharmacists, especially hospital pharmacists. For this purpose, we have compiled this book, "Practical Pharmaceutics," based on traditional pharmaceutics. Building on a brief introduction to the general theory of pharmaceutical preparation, this book is organized according to routes (sites) and methods of administration, as well as dosage form classification, aligning with clinical medication practices. The main topics include anatomical and physiological characteristics of administration sites, drug absorption mechanisms and influencing factors, the concepts and preparation methods of various dosage forms, quality requirements, and examples. It also dedicates considerable space to the general usage methods and precautions for different dosage forms. This book can serve as a reference for pharmacist training and is also suitable for clinical physicians and nurses.
