In 1945, as Allied forces were rapidly advancing across Germany, there were still over 50,000 prisoners held in Buchenwald concentration camp, many of whom faced the constant threat of death. At this time, a Jewish person arrived in the camp, carrying a three-year-old orphan in a box.
