Our military academy has been offering courses such as "Military Ethics" and "Cultivation of Military Personnel's Moral Character" since the early 1980s, playing a significant role in the development of academic disciplines and the moral and talent cultivation of cadets. In the new era of military modernization, with the advancement of the new military revolution, many new changes have occurred in the theories and practices of modern military life. It is necessary to promote military ethics development from a broader perspective and at a deeper level, as well as to strengthen the moral quality cultivation of military personnel. In 2001, our military academy adjusted its academic discipline structure in line with the practical needs of military development and added the course "Military Ethics." To advance discipline development, the Research and Development Department of the PLA University of Science and Technology decided to organize the compilation of the teaching material "Introduction to Modern Military Ethics."
