Of course, like all historical figures, the outstanding representatives of our time cannot be free from the limitations of historical conditions and will inevitably have various weaknesses and shortcomings, and may also make certain mistakes in their lives. However, all of these, like the eclipses of the sun and moon, will do no harm to the brilliance of their image when made openly and honestly. Their achievements for the Chinese nation, their revolutionary spirit, noble character, outstanding talent, wisdom, and exemplary conduct have all left an indelible mark on history and set an example for future generations. This is a precious spiritual wealth that the Chinese nation should cherish forever. It will become an excellent textbook for cultivating the patriotic spirit and socialist belief of generations of Chinese people.
At present, the Chinese people are working hard under the leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Jiang Zemin at its core, following the grand design of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, to achieve the second strategic goal of socialist modernization and reach a moderately prosperous society in this century. Peng Xuefeng was an outstanding young general of the Red Army, known for his bravery and numerous achievements in battle. He was the founder of the anti-Japanese base area in the Yuzhou-Anhui-Jiangsu border region. On September 11, 1944, he was martyred in the battle to restore the Yuzhou-Anhui-Jiangsu base area at the age of 37.
