After a week of a flat tire

Patient's question:

Please let me know what symptoms might occur about a week after getting a tire fixed... I got a tire fixed about a week ago... Last night I had some pain... When I woke up this morning, there was a bit of bleeding... Is this normal???

Doctor's answer:

I think it should be a normal phenomenon. Please refer to the following information, hoping it will be helpful to you:
Recovery of menstruation after miscarriage:
If counting from the day of the surgery or the first day of medication, the first menstrual period after a miscarriage usually comes later than the previous menstrual cycle length. For example, if the previous cycle was monthly, the first period might take one and a half to two months to arrive. Medication-induced miscarriage takes time for the embryo to pass, so the recovery period of menstruation might be slower. The longer the pregnancy duration, the later the menstrual recovery will be. However, these are individual variations.
Duration of bleeding after miscarriage:
Medication-induced miscarriage: The bleeding period is generally about two weeks, but some people may bleed for an extended period, even intermittently for more than a month, sometimes continuing into the next menstrual cycle. Possible reasons include a longer gestation period, poor coagulation function, or residual tissue. If left untreated, prolonged bleeding may lead to anemia, infection, and other issues. In such cases, we first determine if there is residual tissue or blood clots in the uterus. If medication effectiveness is poor, surgical removal may be considered. If it's just poor endometrial regeneration, endocrine disorders, or ovarian dysfunction, medication can usually be used to regulate the condition.
Surgical miscarriage: Bleeding after surgery is usually less, lasting about 7 to 10 days. Typically, the blood flow is very minimal in the first two to three days after the procedure, after which it might increase again. This is because although the uterine contents are cleared during surgery, new bleeding may still occur before the endometrium fully recovers.
