Why does there be no bleeding during the first time of having sex

Patient's question:

Why did the first time of having sex, the hymen seemed like it hadn't broken, and there was no blood flow?

Doctor's answer:

Heavy physical labor and intense physical exercise can both cause the hymen to tear. Generally, there are two reasons why the first sexual intercourse may not result in bleeding:
1. The hymen may have already torn accidentally long ago, such as during childhood due to trauma, accidental contact with sharp objects, or damage caused by bathing or inserting vaginal medication. In some cases, the hymen is naturally fragile, and activities like cycling can cause it to tear, leading to no bleeding on the first night.
2. The hymen may have a large opening, good elasticity, and fewer blood vessels inside. If the male is gentle and not rough during intercourse, the hymen may not tear after multiple sexual encounters. It may only tear during childbirth, at which point there may also be no bleeding.
