Between Yan Nuo and Blazing Fire, there had been a friendship of over ten years. They had grown up together. Yan Nuo described it to Blazing Fire like this: "Such a delicate face matched with such a tall figure, a pleasant voice, an innocent smile—she makes me afraid; how could there be such a beautiful girl in the world." As she said this, Yan Nuo's face rested on her arms, her tone melancholic, her gaze lost, as if she had fallen into a fog and couldn't pull herself out. Blazing Fire said, "You're in love, you damn fool." Yan Nuo smiled, not saying anything. Blazing Fire sighed regretfully, "You should see more. There are at least ten thousand beautiful girls in this city. Yan Nuo is quite introverted, and she just said, 'They're not the same.' 'They all are,' Blazing Fire replied with a smile. At that time, Yan Nuo had just entered her third year at South China University, He Sheng was a year younger than her, and Blazing Fire was at New York University, only coming back during holidays.
