Pregnant women's mouths feel particularly sour, what can they eat?

Patient's question:

I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness.
Can you please recommend what to eat when a pregnant woman's mouth is particularly sour?

Doctor's answer:

Most people experience around the 4th month of pregnancy. The acid in your mouth now is because the fetus is growing, and as it grows upward, it can affect your stomach, leading to acid reflux. Vomiting on an empty stomach might result in yellow stomach acid, which is not a serious issue. When brushing your teeth in the morning, be gentle to avoid triggering dry heaves. If you feel a bit of acid reflux, immediately eat a few soda crackers to neutralize the stomach acid, which should help. As long as you're not very hungry, the acid reflux should not be too severe.
