Features: This book is divided into two parts: one part is linear elasticity, and the other part is the finite element method. The linear elasticity section primarily introduces the basic concepts of linear elasticity, the fundamental theories of plane problems, the rectangular coordinate solutions of plane problems, the polar coordinate solutions of plane problems, the fundamental theories of spatial problems, the solutions of spatial problems, and the bending problems of thin plates. The finite element method section primarily introduces the finite element method for linear elasticity problems: for plane problems, it introduces triangular three-node elements, triangular six-node elements, rectangular four-node elements, and eight-node isoparametric elements; for thin plate bending problems, it introduces rectangular four-node elements; and for spatial problems, it introduces tetrahedral four-node elements and twenty-node isoparametric elements. This book can serve as a textbook and teaching reference for undergraduate and graduate students, and can also be used as a reference for researchers and engineering professionals.
