Features: There are many books about success, but they often lack clarity and organization. The distinguishing feature of this book is that it summarizes the essential elements of success into six aspects: influence, willpower, creativity, observation, adaptability, and execution. It also provides exclusive advice on how to cultivate these success factors. After reading this book, you will gain more confidence in your journey toward success. Many people have once harbored dreams of success, but they often base these dreams on unrealistic assumptions. Whenever they see another success story unfold before them, they say, "If I hadn’t been born into such a family," "If I hadn’t missed that opportunity back then," "If I could have met someone who truly helped me," or "If I had the wealth he has." They believe life would be different. Here, I advise all my friends that life is precious, and we only have one chance at it. Life is always in the present tense—no time for preview or review, and no room for hypothetical "ifs." Life, as Mr. Zhu Ziqing described it, slips away quietly while we sigh. Many of us arrive at the beach of life at dawn but fail to set sail as the sun sets. They lack the courage and the strength of life. They don’t understand that what helps you navigate the storms to reach the other side isn’t on a luxurious ship but in their hearts.
Once, there were two monks who decided to go on a pilgrimage around the world. The rich monk said, "I’ll take many people with me in a large ship once I’ve saved enough money." The poor monk, however, said, "I can travel the world with just my legs and this broken bowl for begging." Twenty years later, the rich monk still hadn’t saved enough money, while the poor monk had already returned after traveling the world on foot. If our life goals are like a pilgrimage around the world, we should not, like the rich monk, base our success on wealth and dreams. The poor monk’s secret to success—his legs and broken bowl—are the essential strength we need in life. If we view life as another voyage around the world, then creativity is our high-sailing wind, influence is our oar for advancing in life, observation is our telescope for distant journeys, willpower is our life’s rudder for setting direction, execution is our engine for cutting through waves, and adaptability is our guiding lighthouse toward the future. I believe our life’s voyage will surely be fruitful.
There are two types of success strength: hard strength and soft strength. Hard strength refers to external factors like wealth and background, while soft strength is the inherent inner quality that is honed through life’s experiences.
