Features: The Ningbo History and Culture Lectures were the first series of lectures launched by the "Social Science Forum" jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Ningbo Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Ningbo Social Sciences Academic Association. This is a public welfare lecture, held every Saturday, open to the public. From April 10, 2004, to October 16, 2004, it ran for a total of 26 lectures, attracting attention from all walks of life and receiving widespread praise. To expand the audience reach and maximize its impact, at the request of the listeners, we compiled and published the experts' lecture manuscripts, aiming to share these wonderful contents with more enthusiasts. This effort received strong support from the experts, who not onlyly provided the manuscripts but also repeatedly revised them, added new content, and contributed beautiful illustrations to this collection. It should be noted that each expert has a different perspective, and some issues inherently have differing academic viewpoints. Therefore, we present the experts' opinions as they are, solely for reference by researchers. The manuscripts are arranged in the order of the lectures, also serving as a of this series of lectures.
