Features: Preface Drainage consolidation reinforcement technology for soft soil foundation is widely applied in the field of civil engineering, including transportation (highways, ports, airports, railways, etc.), water conservancy, municipal engineering, industrial and civil buildings, and environmental protection engineering in China. Annually, it treats over 100 million square meters of soft foundation. Drainage consolidation reinforcement technology involves aspects such as design methods, product quality standards, quality inspection, as well as construction and acceptance. For a long time, China has lacked systematic standards or specifications that cover design, products, quality inspection, and construction. Some industry standards and specifications also exist issues such as being outdated for a long time and certain provisions no longer reflecting the current technical level, urgently requiring revision. However, due to various reasons, the revision of some standards and specifications has not yet been carried out. These factors have affected the development of this technology. To meet the urgent needs of relevant engineering technicians and also prepare for the revision and formulation of related standards and specifications, the Committee on Engineering Drainage and Reinforcement of the Port Engineering Branch of the China Society of Civil Engineering (formerly the Academic Committee on Plastic Drainage of the Port Engineering Branch of the China Society of Civil Engineering) organized experts who have long been engaged in related research, design, construction, inspection (supervision), and production to discuss and compile this guide after multiple sessions. This guide systematically introduces four aspects: design methods for drainage consolidation, product quality standards, product quality inspection, and construction and acceptance. We believe that the publication of this guide will play an important role in the development of drainage consolidation reinforcement technology for soft soil foundation and the improvement of the quality of drainage consolidation reinforcement projects nationwide. When compiling this guide, emphasis was placed on the practicality of the content and actively reflecting the development level of this technology, emphasizing service for engineering design and construction, and focusing on solving technical problems in engineering applications. To facilitate reading, each section maintains relative independence. However, in engineering applications, product, design, and construction content are interrelated. Engineering technicians should comprehensively master relevant technical standards. The publication of this guide was supported by the Publishing Fund of the Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute.
