Features: The learning objective of data structures and algorithms is to select reasonable data structures based on the nature of application problems and to program solutions within reasonable time and space complexity constraints. Completing exercises and programming assignments diligently is an important part of mastering data structures and algorithms and improving the quality of program design. This book is designed to provide guidance for readers learning data structures and algorithms, complementing the "21st Century Curriculum Textbooks" and the "National Planning Textbooks for the 15th Five-Year Plan" "Data Structures and Algorithms" published by our press. The book consists of 14 chapters, where chapters 1-12 summarize the important content points, key learning points, and difficulties of this course, with some chapters extending relevant knowledge points. The first 13 chapters provide comprehensive analysis and reference solutions for 212 exercises and 53 programming assignments from the main textbook from multiple perspectives, including problem analysis, typical errors, data structures, algorithm code, and algorithm analysis. Additionally, over 170 new exercises and more than 40 programming assignments covering the knowledge points of each chapter are included for readers to practice. Chapter 13 mainly consists of problems from the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, strengthening algorithm implementation and hands-on practice skills. Chapter 14 primarily features data structure questions and answers from the postgraduate entrance examinations of the Department of Computer Science at Peking University from 1999 to 2005, assisting readers in self-study and self-assessment.
This book can serve as a teaching reference for data structures and algorithms courses in computer and related disciplines at ordinary universities and colleges. It can also be used by candidates preparing for postgraduate entrance exams in computer science, computer science and technology, and software engineering. Additionally, it can be referenced by computer application professionals.
