Features: The silicate industry is an important component of the national economy. Since the reform and opening-up, it has achieved rapid development. However, issues such as high resource consumption, high energy consumption, and severe environmental pollution have become increasingly prominent and urgently need to be addressed. To implement the scientific development concept and take the path of new industrialization, as well as to develop a circular economy, the Silicate Societies of five northern provinces and municipalities have, through friendly negotiations, decided to jointly hold the 8th Academic and Technical Exchange Conference of the Northern China Silicate Society. The conference is scheduled to be held from September 22 to 24, 2005, in Tianjin, and will be specifically organized and hosted by the Tianjin Silicate Society.
The conference aims to vigorously promote the development of silicate academic and technical fields, establish a resource-saving and environmentally friendly industrial structure, and foster a harmonious society between humans and nature, providing a platform for science and technology workers to showcase their talents and exchange innovative ideas. With the strong support of the Silicate Societies in various provinces, cities, and districts in northern China, the conference secretariat actively organized the five northern provinces and municipalities to write papers, which received extensive support from experts, scholars, and science and technology workers. The secretariat received nearly 90 submissions from various regions. These papers cover a wide range of topics and are rich in content, closely focusing on the forefront of the discipline and practical production. Some of the papers are of high academic level and possess strong relevance.
The conference secretariat has compiled the "Proceedings of the 8th Academic and Technical Exchange Conference of the Northern China Silicate Society." It is expected that the publication of this proceedings will play a positive role in promoting the technological progress and innovation of the silicate industry in northern China.
