Features: This textbook is compiled based on the training objectives for medical college students and the teaching syllabus for Medical Genetics at the Central Radio and Television University. The book includes not only fundamental content of Medical Genetics but also some experiments in Medical Genetics. The fundamental content of Medical Genetics is divided into eleven chapters, covering basic theories and knowledge of genetics at the molecular, cellular, individual, and population levels, as well as their applications in medical practice. It appropriately reflects the recent advancements in Medical Genetics in recent years. The experimental content of Medical Genetics primarily considers the experimental conditions of grassroots units, focusing on experiments at the cellular level and some aspects of genetic counseling to train students in basic techniques. This aims to cultivate students' practical working abilities, enabling them to preliminarily address common genetic issues in medical practice. In addition to required experiments, other experiments are provided as self-study references. Recognizing the self-directed learning nature of students, the authors explicitly state "Chapter Objectives" at the beginning of each chapter and provide summaries at the end of each chapter to help students grasp key points for self-study. This textbook is intended for use by students in clinical medicine and other medical disciplines at the Central Radio and Television University, as well as for adult education at the junior college level, professional training courses, adult education for upgrading from associate to bachelor's degrees, undergraduate students in medical colleges, and professionals working in Medical Genetics, as a teaching material or reference book.
