Features: This set of "Preschool English" is written based on the characteristics of language learning at the age stage of young children and the English learning environment of our children, summarized through years of English teaching practice. The purpose is to initially cultivate children's interest in English learning, as well as their ability to listen, think, and speak in English during the best period of language development. This set of textbooks consists of six volumes, divided into small, middle, and large classes. The upper and lower volumes for the small class are used in kindergartens for small classes; the upper and lower volumes for the middle class are used in kindergartens for middle classes; the upper and lower volumes for the large class are used in kindergartens for large classes. The basic content is composed of familiar things and living environments for children. Each unit consists of words, sentence patterns (daily expressions), chants, songs, games, and dialogues. The focus of each grade is slightly different. The two volumes for the small class mainly focus on common words and daily expressions, while also incorporating fun poems, chants, and songs. The volumes for the middle and large classes each present a theme per lesson. For example, in the upper volume for the middle class, the content themed around food first introduces a series of common and frequently eaten foods. After mastering the names of these foods, simple sentence patterns are used to express preferences, and some situational dialogues are added. Finally, poems and songs are used to reinforce learning, initially cultivating children's awareness of using English for emotional communication. Teaching emphasizes listening and speaking. To reduce the translation process in children's brains, teachers are encouraged to teach English like a mother first teaches her child Chinese, using the direct method. Practical methods, gestures, expressions, tones, and pictures are used to directly teach English, rather than teaching in Chinese and then translating into English. We aim for children to think and respond directly in English upon hearing it.
