Vaginal leukoplakia, how do I treat it?

Patient's question:

In the recent few months, I have been experiencing discomfort in my legs, accompanied by mild itching. I also have some white discharge that is viscous and has a strong odor. Additionally, I have been experiencing lower back pain. A few days ago, while cleaning myself, I noticed some white patches on my external genitalia that have been spreading near my anus. After a thorough examination at the hospital, the diagnosis was leukoplakia of the vulva.
What kind of help I need: How is leukoplakia of the vulva treated?

Doctor's answer:

Vulvar leukoplakia, also known as leukoplakia of the vulva, vulvar dystrophy, or vulvar nutritional disorder, accounts for approximately 5-10 ‰ of women. When treating vulvar leukoplakia, it is important to maintain cleanliness and dryness of the vulvar skin, avoid washing with soap or other irritating medications; prevent scratching; refrain from consuming spicy or irritating foods; wear loose clothing, change laundry frequently, preferably cotton fabrics, with clothing that is soft and highly absorbent. Boil the seeds of the bitter olive tree in water for about twenty minutes, then sit in a basin over it for thirty minutes. Continue sit baths for three consecutive days. It is best for couples to undergo treatment together, as this treatment duration is relatively long.
