Features: Recollections of Marx includes 36 articles, while Recollections of Engels includes 35 articles. Most of the recollection articles in these two books were previously published in the collection Recollections of Marx and Engels by the People's Publishing House in 1983. They have been rearranged for this edition. Recollections of Marx includes four newly added articles: Engels' two essays, "Karl Marx" and "Speech at Marx's Grave," Stefan Born's "Winter in Brussels: Karl Marx," and Julius Walter's "Karl Marx." Recollections of Engels includes four newly added articles: Marx's preface to the French edition of Engels' pamphlet "Socialism: From Utopia to Science," II. Iessen's "Recollection of Meeting Engels," B. P. Aksheryorod's "Fragments of a Memoir," and P. D. Boborykin's "Fragments of a Memoir." Among the eight newly added articles, three by Marx and Engels are selected from the second Chinese edition of Marx-Engels Collected Works, while the others are newly translated from foreign publications. Additionally, the self-revelations of Marx and Engels are included. For the convenience of readers, both books retain the name index of the original collection, the genealogy of Marx, the explanation of the genealogy of Marx, the genealogy of Engels, and the explanation of the genealogy of Engels, and have also added annotations.
