In this regard, we use the title Introduction to Religion with the purpose of directly revealing the subject content and nature of this humanities discipline. Moreover, we use the title Introduction to Religion for another reason, which is to correct deviations and address shortcomings, deliberately giving the humanities discipline of religious studies its due recognition. As an independent humanities discipline, religious studies, in terms of its subject content and nature as mentioned above, is a conceptual system concerning the universal essence and general development patterns of religion. Therefore, correspondingly, as an academic research or academic activity, the study of religious studies is the study of religion, or lies in the study of the universal essence and general development patterns of religion.
