Features: Man is the primary active factor of productivity, and tools are a symbol of the level of productivity development. The combination of the two is what I call "a person with tools." The tools they carry can be self-created or "borrowed"; tangible or intangible; practical or abstract; they can be reactors or catalysts. In short, what we seek is "a person with tools." To this day, no system in the world has been discovered that can lead the pack without exchanging with the outside world. Or, to put it another way, no system in the world has been discovered that can lead the pack without undergoing metabolism. Or, to put it yet another way, no living organism in the world has been discovered that can survive independently without metabolism! Storing money in a bank versus "storing" it in "a person with tools"—which is the better move? Clearly, the latter. "A person with tools" can bring opportunities, growth, reputation, and abundant wealth to a business, yet they take only a fraction of the rewards. They are the true "bank" of the enterprise—not, to say the least, just a "money printer." Every revolution in productivity originates from "a person with tools."
