How can one determine if they are pregnant

Patient's question:

Doctor:
Hello! I usually get my period around the 1st of each month, but for several times in a row, I've had brown discharge about a week after my period, only when wiping. Is this another period?

I haven't gotten my period by the 17th this month because my cycle isn't very regular, and I've had delays before. But I suspect I might be pregnant. Do I need to remove the plastic cover when using the test strip? It seems to be ineffective. Why haven't I seen any signs? What's going on? The test strips haven't changed at all, but the instructions say there's one condition.

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, the symptoms of pregnancy at one week vary from person to person. Most people do not experience obvious physical symptoms, although some may feel pregnant immediately after conception. However, this sensitive constitution is not common, and symptoms such as vomiting and nausea are more likely to appear around the first month of pregnancy.
