Features: To establish a unified and standardized technical criterion and basis for the formulation of environmental monitoring analysis method standards in our country, ensuring the reproducibility, recoverability, accuracy, and comparability of analytical results, and promoting the continuous development of environmental monitoring work in China, this guide has been formulated. This guide provides technical specifications for the method principles, reagents and materials, instruments, equipment, samples, analysis steps (or test steps), result calculation, precision and accuracy, uncertainty, quality assurance and control, special cases, precautions, and waste disposal in environmental monitoring analysis method standards. Appendices A, B, C, and D of this guide are informative appendices. This guide was proposed and supervised by the Science and Technology Standards Department of the State Environmental Protection Administration. This guide was drafted by the China National Environmental Monitoring Center and the Nanjing Municipal Environmental Monitoring Center. The China National Environmental Monitoring Center is entrusted with the interpretation of this guide. This is the first release of the guide, which came into effect on December 9, 2004.
