Finnish New Buildings 2

Features: Finland is not only home to world-class masters like Alvar Aalto and Eero Saarinen, but also ranks at the top of the highest level of modern architecture in the 20th century (K. Frampton's evaluation). Its excellent mechanisms for promoting outstanding architectural design, robust, practical, and humanistic modern architecture, as well as its development process, are all worth. Unfortunately, we know very little about them. This book is a sequel to "New Architecture of Finland," published in 2002, highlighting the new achievements of contemporary Finnish architecture (completed between 2000-2004). Dr. Fang Hai has written the preface, introducing the two polar schools of Finnish architecture and their subsequent development, and has selected 24 typical examples from the 21st century. Like the collection, the exquisite images in this book were shot by the leading Nordic architectural photographer, Jussi Diainen, and are accompanied by introductions and line drawings provided by Dr. Fang Hai. Reading it is a tour of architectural beauty, and it can also inspire design ideas and spark creative inspiration. I believe that students and teachers of architectural design, as well as architects, will all love it.
