Features: The book "Inheritance of Orthopedic Therapy" is rich in content and has the following characteristics:
First, in terms of medical ethics and conduct. Under the influence of the teachings and personal example of his father, who dedicated himself to healing the sick and saving lives, and taking Dr. Bethune as a role model, and the motto "Great Physicians Are Rare and Pure in Heart" from the Tang Dynasty physician Sun Simiao, the elder Dr. Tang treated injured patients without discrimination of wealth or social status, treated everyone equally, did not extort money, was generous, indifferent to fame and fortune, and remained so for decades.
Second, in terms of orthopedic techniques. Building upon the inheritance and promotion of the "Eight Methods of Orthopedics" from the "Essentials of Orthopedic Techniques" in the "Golden Mirror of Medicine," which include palpation, alignment, reduction, traction, pushing, grasping, pressing, and massage, Dr. Tang also incorporated the "Eight Methods of Orthopedics" from the orthopedic department of Tianjin Hospital, which combine traditional Chinese and Western medicine, such as palpation with the heart's understanding, traction and extension, rotation and flexion, reduction and compression, swaying and touching, clamping and separating bones, counterforce and rotation, and massage and manipulation. Additionally, combining Zhan's "Ligament Adjustment Techniques" and "Ligament Adjustment Knife Techniques," he summarized them into the "New Ten Methods of Orthopedics," which are applied clinically for the reduction of various fractures and dislocations as well as the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.
Third, in terms of medication principles.
