Features: To establish and improve the worker assessment system in the water conservancy industry and fill the gap of lacking complete and systematic worker training materials in the water conservancy industry since the founding of New China, we organized over 100 experts and scholars in the water conservancy industry to write this "Water Conservancy Industry Worker Assessment and Training Textbooks." This textbook is based on the requirements of the 32 trades in the "Technical Skill Level Standards for Workers in the People's Republic of China (Water Conservancy)" jointly issued by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Water Resources. The content is closely aligned with the technical assessment specifications and question banks, and each chapter includes review questions, meeting the needs for pre-assessment training and vocational skill certification in the water conservancy industry. The textbook is divided into two categories: general textbooks and professional textbooks. The general textbooks consist of 8 volumes: "Basic Knowledge of Water Conservancy Project Construction," "Basic Knowledge of Engineering Mechanics and Building Structures," "Basic Knowledge of Geology and Soil Mechanics," "Basic Knowledge of Hydraulic Structures," "Basic Knowledge of Hydraulics and Hydrological Surveying," "Other Knowledge of Water Conservancy Engineering Drawing," "Basic Knowledge of Machinery," and "Basic Knowledge of Electricity." Their content primarily focuses on basic theoretical knowledge to support the 30 professional textbooks. The professional textbooks include 30 volumes: "Excavation and Drilling Worker," "Hydraulic Blasting Worker," "Forging and Driving Worker," "Dam Formwork Worker," "Dam Reinforcement Worker," "Dam Concrete Worker," "Drilling and Grouting Worker," "Shotcrete Worker," "Seepage Prevention Wall Worker," "Masonry Worker," "Dam Soil Material Testing Worker," "Dam Concrete Testing Worker," "Hydraulic Sediment Testing Worker," "Hydraulic Structure Testing Worker," "Concrete Maintenance Worker," "Earth and Rock Maintenance Worker," "Sluice Gate Operation Worker," "Hydraulic Anti-corrosion Worker," "Hydraulic Monitoring Worker," "River Channel Maintenance and Prevention Worker," "Canal Maintenance Worker," "Irrigation District Water Supply Worker," "Irrigation Experiment Worker," "Pumping Station Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Worker and Pumping Station Operation Worker," "Irrigation and Drainage Engineering Worker," "Hydrological Survey Worker," "Hydrological Survey Boat Worker," "Soil and Water Conservation Prevention Worker," "Soil and Water Conservation Testing Worker," and "Soil and Water Conservation Survey Worker," among others. Their content covers the professional and skill knowledge of each trade at the primary, intermediate, and advanced levels. This textbook is professional, authoritative, scientific, comprehensive, practical, and stable. It includes the scope and content of questions for technical skill level promotion assessments in this industry and serves as the textbook for vocational skill certification in various trades of the water conservancy industry. The technical specifications or regulations, standards, etc., used in this textbook revision were based on standards still in use as of the end of July 1995. Although some of the units involved are non-official units, they were temporarily retained in this publication due to consistency with relevant regulations and standards and the current practical usage. These units will be corrected in future revisions.
