Features: The "Ambassador Forum" at Fudan University is organized by the Center for European Studies and the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University. It began in 2004 and is held multiple times annually based on circumstances, inviting prominent political figures, senior officials, legislators, or distinguished scholars to deliver thematic speeches and engage in discussions on international situations or major global issues. The purpose of the Fudan University "Ambassador Forum" is to broaden the scope of the university's research and make it more (closer to practice), addressing the shortcomings of its research work. To promote international and domestic academic exchanges for the Center for European Studies at Fudan University and further maintain and enhance its academic authority in the field of European studies in China, Fudan University has appointed Ambassador Mei Zhaorong as a Distinguished (Visiting) Professor and Chairman of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Center for European Studies, as well as the host of the "Ambassador Forum." This book collects the speeches of over 10 former Chinese ambassadors to foreign countries and foreign ambassadors to China (or other prominent figures) delivered at the "Ambassador Forum" held at Fudan University. Diplomats, from their respective perspectives, experiences, and standpoints, provide insightful and vivid analyses and discussions on the current international landscape, European diplomacy, China-Germany relations, China-Russia relations, and other topics.
