Features: The course "Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Foundation," guided by Marxist theory, is closely related to reality, life, and students. It aims to guide students in enhancing their ideological and moral cultivation and legal awareness, establishing a correct outlook on life, morality, values, and law, consciously shaping a harmonious personality, and growing into well-rounded, high-quality "Four-Way" citizens. This book, "Ideological and Moral Cultivation and Legal Foundation," was developed in accordance with the requirements of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Education's "Opinions on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Theory Education in Higher Education" and "Implementation Plan," strictly adhering to the 2005 edition of the new curriculum textbook compilation outline of the Ministry of Education. It was specifically written for undergraduate students of the 2005 cohort. While ideological and moral cultivation and law belong to different categories and disciplines, they complement each other in the journey of university students' growth, playing a shared role in nurturing individuals. We have conducted years of teaching reform experiments in integrating these two courses, accumulating both theoretical and teaching experience. Nevertheless, to harmoniously integrate them into a single course, achieve an organic combination within the discipline and curriculum, and address issues related to all aspects of university students' life development, the newly compiled textbook essentially represents an innovative project in the integration of disciplinary theoretical systems. Thus, it still presents considerable challenges. The publication of this textbook represents a meaningful exploration and of our application of new research findings in Marxist theory education. Although the system and content may not yet be fully mature, we hope it possesses uniqueness, readability, and relevance.
