Features: This volume is divided into two parts. The first part is "Analytic Philosophy," and the second part is "Philosophy of Science." Each part begins with an introduction that introduces the origins, development, and basic characteristics of analytic philosophy and philosophy of science, respectively. Then, each chapter is narrated according to the figures, with the figure as the main title and highlighting the type and features of their philosophical thought in the subheading. In the review of the figures' lives, works, historical background, and main ideas, attention is also paid to their classification in philosophical thought and the relationships of inheritance and critique among them. We attempt to combine the advantages of writing by figures and writing by schools in this way. This volume sets itself the task of capturing substantive content, not avoiding difficulties, clarifying key issues and main ideas clearly, truly entering into the thoughts of the philosophers being reviewed, but also striving to seek paths with a critical eye, stepping out of their respective philosophical systems. In short, our goal is to clearly elucidate the original thoughts of each philosopher and, based on this, to strive to grasp the overall trend and general development of 20th-century Anglo-American philosophy.
