What attracted me from the very beginning was this line: "That worm that had transformed into a human, with legs too long, was peering at the part of the beautiful woman between her waist and knees." Bai Fan writes in a light tone, teasingly describing his interactions with the sugar-eating worm. This teasing also made my weary heart (not in a literary novel style, but after a long day of work, one does need to collapse on the ground) light up and feel refreshed. —Leopard Eats Baozi Rice The writing style of Bai Fan is like that of a martial arts master who plays mind games with readers, often striking unexpectedly. Since the incident of laughing uncontrollably while reading his work during office hours, I believe that Bai Fan is a suspected author of intentional murder of readers! —Lonesome Lazy Cat
Hunter is a profession that involves searching for, investigating, and hunting valuable and beneficial humans and non-humans in the vast world. Non-humans refer to the general term for various supernatural creatures outside of humans. The protagonist of this story, Pig Brother, is exactly in this line of work. Technically, he is a skilled hunter, but he is very unprofessional. His unprofessionalism often involves situations where he finds himself stuck in dog poop on the road and has the awareness and tolerance to swallow bitter melon with a smile. No matter how bad things get, he always maintains a compassionate and bright outlook, putting it into practice.
Constantly by his side are a half-rhino named Pidi Chen and a silver fox named Diniame, who are both close friends and companions, known as the "three-in-a-row" trio. The former is exquisite in eating and cooking, able to control wind and air, and is very particular about cleanliness. The latter is skilled in divination and prophecy, has a charming and unrestrained demeanor, and never plays by the rules.
At the top of the food chain in the non-human world are the soul-breakers, who survive by absorbing the life energy of all things. Their spiritual leader, Dadan, is inherently evil, but in his reincarnation, he was born out of love. Pig Brother was chosen by the regent Jiang Zuo Situ, and he was promoted to become the personal nanny of the new Dadan. Together with the rhino and fox, they live in Melbourne in a cozy apartment, enjoying a happy life as super dads. However, behind the seemingly noble excuses and the facade of family joy, lies a grand and earth-shattering conspiracy.
