How to care after cervical erosion degree 1 surgery

Patient's question:

Last month, I started to notice that after each sexual intercourse, I would feel a slight lower abdominal pain and a stinging sensation at the vaginal opening, especially when going to the toilet. Later, I went to the hospital for a detailed examination, and the results showed cervical erosion. Now, I have completed the surgery for treatment.

Doctor's answer:

1. Some patients may experience mild dizziness, which can improve within three days.
2. Always maintain external genital hygiene and change underwear and sanitary pads frequently.
3. Rest appropriately and avoid heavy physical labor. Eat less spicy food.
4. Follow medical advice for periodic follow-up examinations based on the recovery progress after surgery.
5. One week after surgery, there may be a small amount of pale yellow watery discharge from the vagina, which will gradually decrease after the second week and improve by the halfway point.
6. Minor peeling may occur 7–14 days after treatment. No treatment is required unless the bleeding is as heavy as a menstrual flow, with bright red blood, in which case medical attention should be sought immediately for medication.
7. Sexual activity and tub baths are strictly prohibited for one month. Severe cervical erosion requires timely symptomatic treatment. We hope patients can follow their doctors' advice for proper treatment.
