Features: The "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" initiated by Hefei University of Technology was awarded as one of the first key construction courses in Anhui Province by the Anhui Provincial Department of Education in 1999. That same year, our university was honored as an outstanding higher education institution in Anhui Province and nationally for implementing the "Regulations on School Physical Education Work." Subsequently, our Physical Education Department took on the task of developing the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" and conducted over two years of rigorous research and scientific deliberation, achieving positive results. Building on this foundation, we summarized the achievements of the "University Physical Education Series Curriculum" in theory, combining the teaching and research practices of numerous renowned professors and key teaching staff, in line with the spirit and requirements of the "National General Higher Education Physical Education Curriculum Teaching Guidance Outline." We then compiled this series of university physical education textbooks, aiming to help students better master fundamental and specialized theoretical knowledge in physical education, enhance their physical awareness and athletic abilities, and learn scientific methods and techniques for exercising the body, thereby providing theoretical guidance for students to engage in self-directed fitness. This series of textbooks is designed with lifelong education as its goal, characterized by ideological depth, theoretical rigor, scientific accuracy, practicality, and modern relevance. The content is concise, the expression is clear and accessible, and the illustrations are abundant, contributing to the establishment and reinforcement of lifelong learning values among students. The series consists of the following volumes: "Fundamentals of University Physical Education," "Football," "Volleyball," "Basketball," "Handball," "Table Tennis," "Tennis," "Aerobics," "Martial Arts," "Sports Dance," "Gymnastics," and "Track and Field." The publication of this series of physical education textbooks will facilitate the fulfillment of the objectives and tasks of physical education teaching in general higher education institutions, meet the needs of students at different levels and with varying interests, and can also serve as reading material for.
