Features: In today's new century, the demand and volume of information we process daily are increasing. Statistics, as an important method for data processing and analysis, is also being widely applied in various fields. This puts higher requirements on the writing of statistics textbooks. Most vocational colleges use textbooks written by non-vocational colleges for statistics, which creates a gap in practical applications. Therefore, writing this textbook is highly meaningful. The Ministry of Education has listed Statistics as a core course for economics majors in higher education. In line with the Ministry's statistics syllabus requirements, we organized some teachers to write this book, adhering to the principles of simplicity and practicality. In terms of content, it takes a broad perspective on statistics, starting from data, with statistical data processing and analysis as the core. It ensures that the content is sufficient for subsequent courses and combines examples to demonstrate the characteristics, applicable conditions, and contexts of statistical methods. Additionally, to strengthen the application of computers, a dedicated chapter titled "Excel in Statistics" is included, enabling students to learn how to use computers for statistical analysis and calculations, thereby improving their ability to process statistical information using computers.
