Features: This book consists of two main parts. The first part is popular piano pieces adapted from outstanding songs and instrumental music of China's ethnic minorities. The second part is Hanon-style finger exercises based on ethnic modes. China is a united and friendly family of 56 ethnic groups, each with its own rich culture. Many excellent ethnic cultures should be inherited and promoted, especially in the field of musical art, where they should be well explored, organized, and innovated. The piano is a musical instrument deeply loved by all ethnic groups in China. However, to master its playing techniques proficiently, one must have both popular and easily understandable pieces as well as finger exercises. With the continuous improvement of material living standards in China, people's demand for this aspect will also increase. Yet, the market currently lacks sufficient popular piano pieces and finger exercises of this kind. Based on the above situation, during my long-term teaching and research practice, I have adapted some widely circulated and lesser-known outstanding songs and instrumental music of China's ethnic minorities into popular piano pieces. Additionally, I have created a set of Hanon-style basic finger exercises based on ethnic modes, tailored to teaching needs and effectiveness. They offer both fresh charm and a certain artistic quality, and can be chosen based on the requirements and difficulty level of performance.
