Features: The poetry of the Han Dynasty spans approximately four hundred years, from the establishment of the Western Han Empire (206 BC) to the Jian'an period of the late Eastern Han Dynasty. When discussing Han poetry, one cannot overlook the Yuefu (Court Music Bureau) poetry, which reached its highest achievement. During the Southern Dynasties of the Liang Dynasty, Emperor Jianwen of Liang promoted the Gongti poetry, which depicted the graceful postures and attire of beautiful women with light, delicate, and ornate literary style. Later, emperors such as Chen Houzhu and Sui Yangdi were renowned for their Gongti poetry. This trend continued in the Chen and Sui dynasties, lasting nearly a century until the early Tang Dynasty.
