At 18, she is appointed as a general to suppress the south and is enfeoffed as a princess. She is both intelligent and brave, achieving numerous heroic deeds. However, after marrying Xu Wenqing, a top scholar, she suffers greatly under the oppressive authority of feudal male dominance and dies in sorrow at the age of 19.
