Breast lump, nipple inversion - what to do?

Patient's question:

Because of the busy training schedule, I haven't been taking care of my body for a while. Then, while taking a bath tonight, I noticed a lump in my breast and inverted nipples. I want to ask the doctor what to do about the breast lump and inverted nipples? Any suggestions?

Doctor's answer:

All breast lumps should be taken seriously. Most breast lumps are typically fibroadenomas, lipomas, hyperplasia, or mastitis, with very few being breast cancer. You can choose to undergo a bilateral breast ultrasound, chest X-ray, bilateral mammography, or a needle biopsy for a thorough examination at the breast surgery department. After a definitive diagnosis is confirmed, additional treatment can be administered. Currently, medication is not necessary. Do not squeeze this lump, and observe it carefully. Maintain a light diet, avoid spicy foods, and avoid extremely cold foods.
