Publishing Date: 2000-04-01
Features: As a key project under the Ministry of Culture's "Nineteen-Ninety-Five" Plan, the series is intended for nationwide recommendation as professional art education textbooks. The compilation of the series gathered leading experts and scholars from the "national team" institutions under the Ministry of Culture, including the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Conservatory of Music, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the China Academy of Fine Arts, the Central Academy of Drama, the Shanghai Academy of Drama, the China National Academy of Dramatic Arts, and the Beijing Dance Academy, as well as outstanding scholars from institutions such as the Central Academy of Arts & Design and the Wuhan Conservatory of Music. This involved hundreds of top experts and scholars in relevant disciplines across the country. Additionally, these textbooks have undergone long-term or multiple rounds of teaching practice, proving effective in both content and methodology. They are stable, well-structured, and excellent materials, with nine listed as national-level key textbooks and nineteen as ministerial-level key textbooks. Moreover, all these textbooks were rigorously reviewed at three levels—by academic committees of the respective institutions, editorial committees of the series' individual volumes, and the general editorial committee—before publication. It can be confidently asserted that all the textbooks in the series represent the highest level of current professional art education achievements in China. It is also reasonable to anticipate that they will play an irreplaceable role in standardizing future professional art education, including general art education, in China.
