Features: Chinese painting has long advocated the theory of subjective-objective unity, "externally learning from nature, internally following the heart's source." The dialectical and moderate methodology of mainstream Chinese philosophy has deeply nourished Chinese painters across generations. This is precisely the important logical basis that allows us to maintain our national identity in the context of global cultural openness while actively absorbing and integrating external influences. The term "heart-image" often discussed by Chinese literati, in its mature sense, refers to the aesthetic unity of the subjective (heart) and the objective (image). Of course, for visual static art like painting, since each painter's "heart" (subjective thoughts, emotions, and personality) differs, their focus on the "image" (objective existence of nature, society, and humanity) will also vary. Consequently, the "heart-image" structures presented in their subjective-objective unified paintings will naturally differ greatly. This landscape, which aligns with artistic laws and artistic ecology, is what we often refer to and aspire to as the "floral display" of diverse artistic expressions. The works exhibited by the painters participating in our current "Ink Heart-Image: Academic Invitation Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Painters" are a side view of this diverse Chinese artistic garden.
