Features: It is worth noting that translation studies, while introducing various theories, tend to be consumed and assimilated by them. Although the field of translation studies appears to be expanding, there is a hidden risk of losing its own position as it moves from the periphery to the center. In the face of this danger, we must remain clear-headed and maintain an independent awareness of the discipline of translation. We must systematically explore the issues of translation theory from the perspective of building translation studies. The "New Perspectives in Translation Studies" series, edited under the support of Shanghai Translation Publishing House, is a concrete manifestation of this effort. The "New Perspectives in Translation Studies" series has clear pursuits: First, the selected topics are aimed at having substantial theoretical depth and originality, contributing to the theoretical construction and development of the discipline of translation; Second, the research is striving for systematicity, ensuring the quality of the research with a strong sense of problem awareness, scientific research methods, solid arguments, and comprehensive data; Third, the research is striving for openness, requiring researchers to have a broad theoretical vision while keeping up with the latest developments in international translation theory research. It is especially important to have a spirit of exploration in the research, striving for innovation. With the support of colleagues in the translation field and the efforts of the authors, our pursuits can be further realized. This series systematically explores translation theory issues from the perspective of building translation studies. The selected topics have substantial theoretical depth and originality, and the research is systematic, open, and innovative.
